specialized training for a unique position
KC Fusion is proud to partner with Union 30 Goalkeeping and Andy Gruenebaum to provide world class training for our club keepers. Andy and his staff have been working with our players for over three years, and we couldn't be happier to have him as part of our family.
Andy was born and raised right here in Kansas City. He was an NSCAA All-American while helping Blue Valley North High School win the state title in 2000. As a professional player, Andy had the privilege of playing in MLS for 9 years. He was honored to win MLS Cup in 2008 with the Columbus Crew, as well as earning Comeback Player of the Year in 2010 (Hip Surgery), Defender of the Year in 2012, and Most Valuable Player in 2012.
His dream was always to play for his hometown team. He accomplished that and more; it's now it is his mission to give back to the KC soccer community that has given him so much.
All club keeper training sessions are held on field 6 South at Compass Minerals Sporting Fields in Wyandotte County.
Goalkeeper training is physically and mentally demanding. Your player will get the most out of their sessions if they come prepared with:
Proper attire (long pants and long sleeves are STRONGLY recommended) Cleats Gloves
