MUSC will provide specific guidelines and procedures in regard to all recreational soccer games to provide the safest environment for players, coaches, referees and spectators. This is an evolving process and will be updated with recommendations from national, state and local authorities as we approach the start of the season. This will be in conjunction with the current guidelines we have in place for coaches, players and parents. These will be enforced by MUSC Field marshals and your cooperation is much appreciated. Any individual not adhering to these guidelines will not be allowed at the facilities.

  • Masks are required at all times with an exception for the players and referees that are on the field during play. Players will be required to wear mask while on the sidelines. Players will have designated marked areas for their personal equipment and shall remain in that area while on the sideline. No benches will be allowed. Substitutions will be made from those areas instead of gathering at midfield. Exiting players will exit to their designated area. Assistant referees will be required to wear mask.
  • Specific entrance and exit plans for each facility (details forthcoming)
  • Staggered game times to maximize social distancing (details forthcoming)
  • Social distancing at a least six feet for all spectators with an exception for individuals living in the same household. All spectators will be required to wear mask at all times.
  • Spectators are to remain in their seats throughout the game until a field marshal dismisses them in order to maximize social distancing. All spectators will exit the facility immediately upon dismissal.
  • No guest playing will be allowed without 72 hours prior notice to MUSC administration.
  • Absolutely, no player or coach will be allowed on the player sideline without a current player card. NO EXCEPTIONS.

Game day health and safety policies will be set by the individual leagues, but we ask that all our Fusion families comply with those protections to ensure everyone’s safety. As the Fall season approaches, we will share more information via your coach about the appropriate procedures for the league in which your team plays.
